Edition IV
This French-German project was initiated through a joint endeavor between an· other here (France, Germany), KOMMET – Contemporary Art Space (France), Institut für alles Mögliche (Germany), and the Polynome Art Workers Collective (France, Germany). From October to November 2024, visual and performative artists Gisèle Gonon, Pierre Boggio, and Julie Escoffier were hosted for a research and production residency across two geographies: the mountain village of Montbrun-les-Bains and Berlin. This edition led to le geste du commun, a collective exhibition from February to April 2025 at the KOMMET Art Center in Lyon, and subsequently to the public program die geste des gemeinsamen (le geste du commun) at the Institut für Alles Mögliche in November 2025.
ReadEdition III
From December 2022 to February 2023, the outstanding Berlin Kommunale Galerie Bärenzwinger invited an· other here to transform the space into a guest residency. This third edition, titled Roaming Winters, opened the bear pit to artists Stephanie Imbeau and Sujatro Ghosh. The Roaming Winters residency marked the final episode in the cycle of progressive EPHEMERIS exhibitions. As an exhibition and working space that hosted several public events and workshops, some of which involved the public in the production process, this edition culminated in a closing house to showcase the residents' outcomes.
ReadEdition II
After a stay at a grandmother’s house on the outskirts of Berlin, the nomadic art residency took place in a family house in the mountain village of Montbrun-les-Bains from September to October 2022. This program was the result of a joint work with the Art Workers Collective Polynome. Berlin-based artist Lisa Hoffmann and Toulouse-based artist Dounia Chemsseddoha participated in a month-long research program. From February to April 2023, their sculptural and photographic work installations were displayed in a duo show, Dans leurs mains, sous nos yeux, at KOMMET – Contemporary art space in Lyon.
ReadEdition I
In 2020, during COVID, this first micro-residency program invited emerging Berlin-based artists Alan Affichard, Laure Catugier, Aiko Shimotsuma and Asís Ybarra — located in a grandma’s house on the edge of the Schlachtensee lake. an· other here has supported them by organizing meetings with art professionals, local inhabitants and by hosting two outdoor performances featuring Alan Affichard and Aiko Shimotsuma.
